HELLO!
Hi, I'm Heather Ann. I am a Christian artist, wife, educator, and a mama to three precious children. As a gardener and nature lover, I feel so blessed to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest on a small lavender farm. I find solace when spending time in the great outdoors, and my artistry is inspired by the intricate detail found amidst the forests and mountains. I cannot spend time immersed in nature without contemplating my Creator - it's where I feel the strongest connection to God. Even as a young child I felt inexplicably drawn to the forests and meadows and the tiniest details of the natural world, recognizing the peace and wholeness I felt there. It is my desire for others to view my work and be inspired to seek the first Creator.
Primarily a self-taught artist, I began to explore my artistic abilities at a young age and developed a passion for drawing and capturing details on paper. I received an Interdisciplinary studies degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Marylhurst University, and have a God-given desire to help facilitate healing and inspire joy as an art educator in my community.
I've found that I do my best work with sunshine pouring in the open windows, a warm mug of chai tea, soothing music playing, and with some quiet moments to be still and just listen.
My faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord is the central part of my life, and I desire for my thoughts and actions to honor God the Father, that He might be glorified through me. Soli Deo Gloria.
IT IS MY DESIRE FOR OTHERS TO VIEW MY WORK AND BE INSPIRED TO SEEK THE FIRST CREATOR.
In 2021 I experienced the loss of vision in my right eye, caused by the growth of an abnormal mass which has resulted in permanent loss of my central vision in that eye. Treatment required me to set aside my art supplies for a season as I adjusted physically, mentally, and emotionally. As my depth perception began to improve I was able to slowly begin to draw and paint again, and I’ve felt more inspired than ever to create as I have felt peace and God's faithfulness when walking through difficult seasons in life.
My husband Zachary has always prioritized my artistry and made sure that I have the time, space, and energy to be able to create. It was his encouragement that gave me the confidence to pick up my pencils and start again.
I selectively take custom art commissions, please contact me for more information.
