Heather is an artist, wife, educator, and a mama to three precious children. As an avid gardener and life-long nature lover, she feels blessed to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and call a small lavender farm home. Heather finds solace when spending time in the great outdoors, and her artistry is inspired by the intricate detail found amidst the forests and mountains. She cannot spend time immersed in nature without contemplating our Creator - it's where she feels the strongest connection to God. Even as a young child, Heather felt inexplicably drawn to the forests and meadows and the tiniest details of the natural world, recognizing the peace she felt there and the beauty which fostered an admiration for the intentionality of the Creator. It is Heather's desire for others to view her work and be inspired to seek the first Creator.
Primarily a self-taught artist, Heather began to explore her artistic abilities at a young age and developed a passion for drawing and capturing details on paper. She received an Interdisciplinary studies degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Marylhurst University, and has a God-given desire to help facilitate healing and inspire joy as an art educator in her community.
In 2021 Heather experienced the sudden loss of vision in her right eye, caused by the growth of an abnormal mass which has resulted in permanent loss of the central vision in that eye. Treatment required her to set aside her art supplies for a season as she adjusted physically, mentally, and emotionally. As her depth perception began to improve, Heather was able to slowly begin to draw and paint again, and has felt more inspired than ever to create as she has felt peace and God's faithfulness when walking through difficult seasons in life.
"IT IS MY DESIRE FOR OTHERS TO VIEW MY WORK AND BE INSPIRED TO SEEK THE FIRST CREATOR."
Heather has found that she does her best work with sunshine pouring in open windows, a warm mug of chai tea, soothing music playing, and with some quiet moments to just be still and listen. She desires for her artistry to honor God the Father, that He might be glorified through her.
Soli Deo Gloria.
Heather selectively takes custom art commissions when she is able, please contact her for more information.
